Vince was diagnosed with a form of throat cancer about five years ago. He underwent an operation that removed a section from the side of this neck, as well as his salivary glands. June Bunt, at 66, had always been full of energy and drive, having decided to launch a new career at a time when most people think of retirement, with the launch of her first cook book, soon followed by a second. So, when she started to feel incredibly tired and found it an immense struggle to pursue her passions of cooking and writing, she knew something was wrong.
She says: “I had always been an active person so I just knew something was wrong when I had to keep pushing myself to get through each day. I found that I couldn’t keep going like this so I went to my GP and had a gamut of blood tests done but nothing was found. In April 2002, I decided to get a second opinion, as I knew in myself that there was something wrong with my body. My new doctor immediately diagnosed me with myeloproliferative disorder.”
These disorders are diseases in which too many of certain types of blood cells are made in the bone marrow. The bone marrow is the spongy tissue inside the large bones in the body. The bone marrow makes red blood cells (which carry oxygen to all the tissues in the body), white blood cells (which fight infection), and platelets (which make the blood clot).
There are four types of myeloproliferative disorders and June was found to be suffering from chronic myelogenous leukaemia. Her platelet count was up to 970 – a normal count is 350-400 and her white and red blood cell counts were very high. Her doctor informed her that once her platelet reading reached 1,000 she would need to undergo a bone marrow biopsy followed by chemotherapy.
“This news sent me into a panic – I wasn’t sure how I would cope with chemotherapy at my age.”
A relative told June about Noni Juice and desperate to give anything a try she started taking Noni Juice in May 2002. Later that year, in December, she received great news from her doctor. Her latest test results showed that her platelet count was down to 700 and both her white and red blood cell counts were down as well. In addition, her diastolic blood pressure had decreased from well over 100 down to 65 (bottom reading).

“These people have had a number of these large dogs over the last few years, and three of them have developed tumours. The previous two died within a couple of months of them being diagnosed. This latest dog, now about 9 years old, developed the tumour quite suddenly just over one of it’s eyes, and it came up like a large egg which was quite ‘squishy’ to feel. The dog was in great pain, not interested in eating, couldn’t get up, and had no energy. Usually these indications were a sign of its impending death. The Vet opened up the area, but could not come to any conclusion other than deciding that nothing more could be done for the animal. At that point having spent large sums of money on unsuccessful veterinary assistance decided to try the Noni giving him about 2 lots of 120ml amounts per day. The dog had no trouble in drinking it, especially when mixed with a bit of fruit juice. Recovery was quite rapid, and the tumour has become quite hard and has centred itself on the dog’s forehead. The dog feels no pain, has survived well past the life expectancy demonstrated by the previous two dogs. To see the dog, you would not know that it had any problem at all.
“The other dog that I mentioned developed arthritis as many older dogs do, and has also developed thyroid problems. Last winter he would cry with the pain on cold days. This winter, since being on the Noni, he has had far less trouble with his joints, hasn’t been worried by the cold days, and has had his thyroid treatment reduced by over 50%. Hair has started to grow again in places where it was getting quite thin. He moves around, climbs steps etc. without any problems. I don’t know how much Noni he is being given, but it has certainly improved the quality of life of both animals”
